Plus there was a bus station walking distance to the hotel. Booked a double room with a work desk, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, and a seating area.
Sadly, but there was hair in some areas.

The hotel of choice in San Jose. Comfortable base for traveling to San Jose and exploring local places. Nice beds, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a seating area, and a writing desk in the room. The bathroom was decent sized and the staff was really helpful. Absolutely perfect and magnificent location approx 10-15 minutes' walk from Parque de la Merced Park. Walking distance to a central market and stores across the street...

My stay at this hotel was absolutely mind-blowing! I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent value for money, with rates as low as $20. The location was perfect for me, within walking distance from the Tica Bus station and the bus station to the airport. The staff were friendly and check-in was a breeze. The room exceeded my expectations with a warm and refreshing shower. The best part was the window in the hall, allowing me to soak in the vibrant street activity. It had all the amenities I needed, including wi-fi, luggage storage, 24-hour reception, and 24-hour security. The bar/lounge area was a great place to unwind, and the flat-screen TV kept me entertained. The VIP check-in/-out made me feel like a superstar, and the wheelchair access ensured convenience for all guests. Plus, I appreciated the no-pets policy and the fact that there was no smoking on site. this hotel was a fantastic find, and I can't wait to visit again!

During my recent stay at Hotel Pecos Bill, I was impressed with the clean and well-maintained room. The linens were fresh, and I enjoyed having hot water for my showers. The hotel also had a good cafe and coffee point nearby, which was convenient for breakfast. Despite a few minor inconveniences, such as some noise and occasional cat smells, the affordable price made it a worthwhile stay.

We were hesitant to stay at Hotel Pecos Bill due to the low reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised with our experience. the value for money was excellent, with a room rate of only $20. the location was perfect for us, as it was within walking distance from the Tica Bus station when we arrived and also within walking distance to the bus station that took us to the airport. the staff were friendly and check-in was a breeze. the room had a warm shower, which was a nice bonus. We also appreciated the clever room layout, which allowed for comfortable temperatures day and night. the windows faced an internal walkway, which made it quiet and safe. we couldn't have asked for more in this city!
Not obvious to find.

The location of the hotel next to the Transtica bus station was incredibly convenient for us. We had heavy luggage, so being able to walk to and from the bus station was a blessing. The room we stayed in was very clean, providing a comfortable stay for us. We also appreciated the helpfulness of the women at reception, who assisted us with checking in after a temporary electricity issue.
The first room we were assigned had some minor issues, such as a lack of hot water and a broken shower head.
